The Future of Our Beloved Apple Devices

Remember the days of waiting for a new Apple iPhone to be released?  Months would pass, years even.  Then the iPod Touch came around, and we had something else to look forward to being updated and released.  There was a sense of anticipation, an excitement in the air that grew with each passing day before a release.

Now, it seems as if all we do is wait to see if they will actually make any significant changes to the device.  The iPhone went from the 3G to the 3GS, then from the iPhone 4 to the 4S.  There were no big changes, yet we waited in line just for a glimpse.

Now, it seems as if they are flooding the market with not only updates to devices, but totally new devices.  To me, they are coming too fast.  I barely have time to buy a new iPad, and a new one comes out.  Now, instead of waiting for a device, I am hoping they will hold off a bit before releasing a new one.  I want time to use my new iPad or iPod before the next one comes out.  They went and discontinued the iPad 3 and went to the iPad 4 months after its release.  At that same time, they released the iPad mini.  Those 3 devices are just the tablets from Apple.  We also have the new iPod Touch 5, the new iPod Nano, and the iPhone 5.  How can they expect one to keep up?

Lets say you do have the money to buy each new device that comes onto the market from Apple, and we are only talking about their line of mobile devices here.  I want time to use it, I want time to appreciate it and learn everything that it has to offer.  You cant, there simply isn't time.  I feel as if I want to just give up, I have already stopped waiting for the new Apple devices to be released, that joy is now gone from my life.  By the time I can buy one, there is already another one out, and I am left to play catch up.  The thrill is gone, and Apple is suffering.  Apple stock continues to decline, and they wonder why.  They are spreading themselves so thin, going after every piece of every market, and they forget about the fans that they have left behind.  Don't get me wrong, I still love the devices they make, but I cant help but feel they are more concerned with putting an Apple device in every household that keeping them in the ones that already have them.
